Yongye sells the vast majority of its Shengmingsu plant nutrient product through independent regional distributors who then sell the products on to smaller distributors. The independent regional distributors sell the products through retail stores which includes a unique branded store network.

Yongye branded store network is developed on the basis of a "community-direct" footprint for our distributors and increase the sales volume in the communities where they operate. The Company works with independently owned retail agricultural product stores and our distributors to create a network of "branded stores" which prominently carry Yongye's Shengmingsu brand. By the end of Q2 2009, the number of retail stores selling Shengmingsu branded products was 5,000.

Our branding model is replicated by our distributor network, store by store, according to our national standard. After branding, stores are supplied with resources such as educational and promotional material which help farmers understand the benefits of using Yongye products. They receive marketing support in the local community through advertising on local TV stations and in local print media.
